Tucker Mountain in Sullivan.
Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Desert Island, Schoodic Mountain and Tidal Falls from the top of the mountain. Park at the Long Cove scenic turnout on Route 1 in Sullivan, cross the road and look for the trailhead along the abandoned section of old US Route 1. The trail to the summit is about 1 mile. The property is privately owned and protected by a conservation easement. Please respect the privacy of the owners and stay on the trail.

Baker Hill in Sullivan.
The property lies on the southern shoulder of Baker Hill, just east of Tucker Mountain. A network of short trails (open to the public) climbs through the sweet-smelling spruce/fir forest and past a wetland area. On the way up there's a glimpse of Schoodic Mountain framed by the trees. In about 15 minutes the trail leads to a gorgeous ledge outcropping which boasts a magnificent view of Frenchman Bay, Mount Desert Island, and the hills of Sorrento. Some think the view from Baker Hill is superior to the view from Tucker Mountain, but we're taking no position on that question. We invite you to try both and make your own decision. Parking for the trails is on Punkinville Road just north of Route 1.
